Last month we launched the inaugural CoSTAR National Lab PhD research program which will run until the end of the CoSTAR research grant in March 2029.

The CoSTAR PhD programme is well-resourced and closely connected with an active network of researchers and partners at the forefront of creative technologies in the creative industries.

The cohort of seven talented postgraduate researchers will contribute original and innovative industry focused research in areas including business innovation for creative technologies, multisensory elements in live events, and the impact of AI on virtual production.

Find out more in our Q&A with course leader Claude Heath, Lecturer in Worldbuilding in our latest CoSTAR National Lab blog.

Five CoSTAR PhD students stand in a teal-walled room, smiling at the camera. They pose in front of a large wall-mounted touchscreen showing a multi-person video conference. A small rolling cart with cables and a keyboard sits beneath the screen, and a desk with a cup and papers is in the foreground.
