Programme ManagerAndré Piza

Andre Piza has been working at the intersection of technology, research, and the creative industries for over two decades. Before joining the CoSTAR Foresight Lab as Programme Manager, he spent 7 years at the Alan Turing Institute, where he contributed to several national initiatives to develop the UK's digital research environment. He managed Living with Machines, the UK’s largest investment in Digital Humanities and, more recently, coordinated the development of Research Software Engineering Capability skilled in Arts and Humanities: a Roadmap. He is a co-founder of the Turing's AI&Arts group, which congregates over 500 members from across the globe, producing research and creative outputs using cutting-edge technologies. Before the Turing, he managed major international research partnerships with independent and flagship arts organisations, at People’s Palace Projects (Queen Mary University of London), where he has also written about cultural exchange (The Art of Cultural Exchange) and the impact of creative enterprise zones.
