Challenge Fund Producer – Equitable Futures in ScreenKat Pegler
Kat Pegler is an interdisciplinary artist, researcher, and producer working at the intersection of creativity, ecological futures, accessibility, and emerging technologies. Her work combines artistic practice, collaborative research, and cultural innovation to explore how creativity can drive meaningful social and environmental change. As Producer of ACES (AI, Carbon, Equity and Skills-led Screen Futures), a BFI Innovation Challenge Fund project, she leads research examining how AI, climate responsibility, skills development, and equity are reshaping the future of screen production. As co-founder of Kerbside Collective, she has developed and led international research and innovation programmes focused on sustainable cities, climate resilience, cultural participation, and the role of creativity in shaping future societies. Grounded in both artistic practice and research, Kat uses creativity to test ideas, challenge assumptions, and explore new possibilities for addressing complex environmental and societal challenges. Her work champions creativity as a catalyst for innovation, connection, and systems change.
