Co-DirectorProfessor Frank Lyons MBE

Professor Frank Lyons is Associate Dean of Research and Innovation at Ulster University and Co-Director of the CoSTAR Screen Lab. He leads innovation at the intersection of technology, creativity, and the arts, serving as Ulster University SRO on the £75m Studio Ulster project. He co-led bids securing £30m in AHRC funding for creative industries in Northern Ireland. An internationally recognized composer, his works have been performed worldwide and broadcast by BBC, RTE, and NPR. His research in creative technologies and disability has been rated ‘world-leading,’ and he was awarded an MBE in 2019 for services to Music and Higher Education.
