Co-DirectorProfessor Karen Fleming

Professor Karen Fleming is a researcher and academic specialising in textiles, design, and sustainable practices at Ulster University. As Co-Director of CoSTAR Screen Lab, she draws on her extensive experience in creative collaboration and her interdisciplinary approach to design and innovation. She was a co-investigator of the AHRC-funded Creative Industry Cluster ‘Future Screens NI’ and is currently Ulster University Director of the Northern Bridge Consortium. She is academic chair of University Athena Swan (gender equality), having previously served as Research Director and Head of Belfast School of Art.
